Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

AKalderon Arts is committed to making akalderon-arts.com usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We work to meet the requirements of the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility), 5773–2013, and Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on WCAG 2.0 Level AA.

Conformance status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard. We are actively working to close the remaining gaps.

Accessibility work completed to date includes: a skip-to-content link, full keyboard operability, visible focus indicators, text and interface colour contrast meeting AA ratios, descriptive alternative text on every artwork image, describing the work itself rather than only naming it, correct heading structure and page landmarks, screen-reader announcements when the shop view changes, notice that shop links open in a new tab, support for browser zoom up to 200%, and respect for the operating system's "reduce motion" setting.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations remain:

• Third-party checkout: purchases are completed on Etsy (opens in a new tab). Etsy's pages are outside our control and are governed by Etsy's own accessibility policy.
• Embedded fonts and third-party scripts may occasionally render differently with assistive technology.

Compatibility

The site is designed to work with recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, together with screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver. It may not work correctly on browsers older than two major versions.

Physical premises

AKalderon Arts operates online only and does not receive the public at physical premises.
